MFC U12 2-1 Belvedere Park Saturday 24 February 2018

Under 12s played a very good Belvedere side who are 1 place above us in the league. The game was pretty even for the first five minutes, with some players playing new positions it took us a while to settle in. Belvedere scored first with a free kick from just outside the area which found the bottom corner. Both teams created chances before half time, but the score stayed the same. 2nd half started with Mayfield pressing hard to find equaliser which eventually came from a shot from a tight angle from Walklett which found the far corner. With time running out Walklett played Wilson through, who got to the ball just before the keeper made contact with his foot bringing him down in the box. The ref then awarded Mayfield with a penalty which Garrett stepped up to take and fire into the back of the net. Good all round team performance with some new player settling in well.
