MFC U16 4-3 Mickleover Country Park Sunday 3 December 2017

With a few players missing and injuries we had to shuffle players around, but it didn’t stop us from playing some good quality football against a good Mickleover team. After soaking up some early pressure and being awarded a few free kicks we made 1 count with a great ball in from Joel for Robbie to get on the end of it to get it over the line. This then settled us down and we continued to grow into the game and then Alfie went on a good run and finished with a cracking solo effort. Mickleover did hit back with a goal just before half time. 2nd half was pretty much played in the same way as the first half, we were then given a free kick on the edge of the box which Harry finished in style into the top corner. We then had a corner which Robbie got on the end of at the back post to give him is 2nd of the match. Mickleover then scored a further 2 goals in the last 10 minutes. All round good team performance with MOM Robbie. Next week we are in Staffs Cup away to Abbey Hulton Youth 2pm KO.
